1. Scope of Services
Better Source will provide recruitment and placement support for vacancies submitted by the employer. Services may include:
- Candidate sourcing.
- Preliminary screening.
- Shortlisting suitable profiles.
- Interview scheduling and coordination.
- Recruitment coordination through the candidate's joining process.
2. Employer Responsibilities
The employer should provide clear and accurate information for each vacancy, including the job description, role requirements, location, compensation information where applicable, required experience and other relevant selection criteria.
The employer should designate an appropriate contact person to coordinate candidate review, interview scheduling, feedback and hiring decisions with Better Source.
3. Resume Submission & Review Process
Better Source may initially share up to five shortlisted resumes aligned with the employer's stated job requirement or job description.
If no candidate is shortlisted or finalised after reviewing those profiles, the employer agrees to participate in a review discussion. This discussion is intended to assess candidate fit, identify gaps in expectations and refine the job description or candidate criteria before further sourcing continues.
4. Recruitment Service Fee & Invoicing
The employer agrees to pay a recruitment service fee equal to 8.33% of the selected candidate's total annual salary for each successfully closed position.
An invoice may be raised when the selected candidate joins the employer organisation.
5. Payment Terms
- Invoice payment: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices are to be settled within 7 days from the invoice date.
- Timely payment: Delayed payment beyond the agreed timeline may attract interest at 1.5% per month, or the rate permitted by applicable law.
- Non-deferral: Once the candidate has joined, payment may not be withheld or deferred because of candidate performance, retention or the employer's internal process delays, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Recovery: In the event of non-payment or breach of these terms, Better Source may pursue available legal remedies and seek recovery of related legal costs where permitted.
6. 90-Day Replacement Guarantee
Better Source provides a 90-day replacement guarantee for placements. If a placed candidate is unable to continue in the role within 90 days from the candidate's start date due to unforeseen circumstances, Better Source will provide a replacement at no additional recruitment service fee.
7. Post-Placement Responsibility
Better Source's recruitment role concludes with sourcing, recommending and coordinating suitable candidates through joining. Once a candidate has been selected through the employer's interview and selection process, subsequent matters relating to employee behaviour, performance or employment management remain the responsibility of the employer.
8. Bypassing or Direct Engagement
The employer agrees not to directly engage, hire or negotiate with a candidate introduced by Better Source in a way that bypasses the recruitment arrangement, unless Better Source provides written consent.
If the employer engages a candidate introduced by Better Source within six months of the introduction, the full applicable recruitment fee remains payable under these terms.
9. Professional Integrity & Communication
Better Source and the employer agree to maintain transparency, ethical conduct and timely communication throughout the recruitment process. Both parties are expected to cooperate in good faith on role requirements, candidate feedback, scheduling, hiring decisions and payment obligations.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By checking the Terms and Conditions checkbox in the Better Source employer requirement form and submitting the form, the employer confirms that it:
- Has read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
- Is authorised to submit recruitment requirements on behalf of the organisation.
- Agrees to the 8.33% recruitment service fee described above.
- Agrees that the submitted company and contact information may be used to respond to and manage the recruitment requirement.
Where Better Source and an employer sign a separate written agreement with client-specific commercial terms, that written agreement should govern any conflicting provision.
